Join Michele and I for a pocket of ( monthly) midweek calm and connection preparing your mind and body for the Winter season. Our December session focusses on slowing down and getting cosy Rested, we are ready for the world but not held hostage by it, rested we care again for the right things and the right people in the right way. ( David Whyte) Are you ready for some deep rest?  Our winter evening is a perfect start to taking time out for your wellness, soothing your nervous system and encouraging the body to switch and start her slow down On this evening we will blend the Rest and Sound together While you experience the blissful feeling from practicing restorative yoga, your body held and supported by blankets and cushions allowing you to relax completely without effort. Michele will bathe you in gentle sounds. In Restorative Yoga the practice is slow paced where you hold poses for several minutes allowing your body and mind to sink into a deeper mode of relaxation which helps to release deep seated tension. Restorative Yoga is the perfect practice for calm and connection, a dedication to your wellbeing and to slowing down. The Sound bath Whilst bringing your body through a journey of restorative positions Michele will bathe you in sound. The calming tones of the Tibetan bowls, the soothing crystal bowls and the gentle sounds of the gong sending vibrations throughout your body helping to restore balance. Percussion instruments then ground you as you emerge from deep relaxation. The sounds layered in a way which can enhance two of the main brainwaves, the alpha and the theta waves. The alpha brainwave state promoting deep relaxation , reducing stress and the theta brainwave enabling the conscious mind to soften allowing for increased creativity, emotional processing and natural healing. The waves represent the light , dreamy stage between wakefulness and sleep. On waking from a dreamy time a mulled juice and the perfect munchie - a piece of darkest chocolate to land you back, just enough so you can carry yourself home.
